Warranty Policy

Lazy Tools Warranty Policy

Our Commitment

At Lazy Tools, we stand by the quality and reliability of every machine we produce. If a fault arises due to a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, we’ll repair or replace the affected part or unit - ensuring your equipment performs as expected.

Making a Warranty Claim

To begin a claim, please provide:

  • The model number of your machine
  • A valid proof of purchase

Our support team will help diagnose the issue and, if it can’t be resolved remotely, guide you through returning your machine for inspection.

Machine Returns for Warranty Inspection

All returns must be clearly marked for the Service Department.

If your claim is covered under warranty:
We’ll arrange collection, repair, and return at no cost to you.

If the issue is not covered under warranty (for example, due to lack of maintenance or misuse):
You’ll be responsible for collection, transport, handling, and any workshop labour costs. We’ll always confirm these costs before proceeding.

Preparing Your Machine for Return

For safety reasons, please drain all fuel from your machine before returning it.
Machines containing fuel cannot be accepted by couriers and may be refused for collection.

We strongly recommend keeping your original packaging to help secure the machine during transit.

We’ll ensure your return is handled safely. If any issue occurs in transit, we’ll work with the courier to resolve it quickly.

Resolution Options

Once your claim is approved, we will:

  • Repair the machine or the affected part, or
  • Provide a like-for-like replacement

If any repair costs fall outside warranty coverage, we’ll contact you before carrying out any work.

Remote Warranty Claims

In some cases, we can send replacement parts without requiring a full return.
To support this, we may request clear photographic evidence showing the fault.
If photos aren’t sufficient to confirm the issue, the part may need to be returned for inspection.

Warranty Limitations

Your warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship, but does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear or misuse
  • Lack of regular servicing or maintenance
  • Damage from water, frost, overheating, or poor ventilation
  • Fuel-related issues (e.g. stale fuel, incorrect fuel/oil mix)
  • Use in marine or extreme environments
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Use outside intended operating conditions

Warranty Coverage by Item

Item Type Warranty Period
Service items (filters, spark plugs, etc.) 12 months (subject to fair wear & tear)
Wearing parts (belts, blades, tyres) 12 months
Lithium-ion batteries & chargers 12 months
Power tools (breakages only) 12 months (not for wear & tear)

Servicing Records

If your machine requires regular servicing, please keep records of maintenance (including usage hours and service dates).
We may request these records during a claim review. Lack of servicing records could affect warranty coverage.
